Olive Oil - with 40% Bay Leaf Oil (known as Aleppo soap) 150 grams from Antioch (south-east Turkey)
Olive oil soap is traditionally made in areas where olive trees grow. There are large areas with olive trees in South-East Turkey and in Northern Syria. Our olive soap is handmade in Antioch. A mixture of olive oil, bay leaf oil and soda is heated in huge kettles and then poured into shallow basins. When the mixture has hardened a little after a few weeks, the soap is cut into blocks with an enormous kind of comb. They are thus dried for a number of months. The small soaps are made from olive oil and bay leaf oil and cut into cubes by hand. People with skin problems or, for example, a serious type of dandruff, appear to benefit from this pure soap. Even clothes can be washed with it. characteristics
